Ministerial Visit to Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited – Strengthening National Nutrition Efforts
On 4th July 2025, a special inspection visit was carried out at Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited, Kandana, led by Hon. Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Cabinet Minister of Health and Mass Media. The visit aimed to assess the company’s ongoing production operations and the islandwide distribution of nutritional products.
During the visit, the Minister observed the full-scale production processes and reviewed the national distribution mechanism of Thriposha. In-depth discussions were held with the company’s leadership regarding the continuation of manufacturing activities, introduction of new products, marketing and promotional strategies, and the secure supply of essential raw materials. Issues related to finance, logistics, and human resources were also addressed.
The Minister was briefed by the new Chairman of Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited, Mr. Amal Attanayake, who assured that the company’s machinery is operating at full capacity, 24 hours a day. With transparent and timely procurement of maize, uninterrupted distribution to beneficiaries across the country is being carried out in alignment with Ministry of Health guidelines.
